J. Plank and G. Rhodes

Slow & Steady

Slow & Steady is a stripped-down duo record from J. Plank & G. Rhodes — built on groove, space, and feel.

Recorded live-to-room in a single day at Coastal Bend Studios in Rockport, Texas, the album features two voices, two electric guitars (sometimes slide), and a drum machine — very little extra, very little in the way.

Inspired by the quiet power of J.J. Cale, these songs lean into restraint — letting the groove breathe and the moments land where they will.

All songs written and performed by Plank and Rhodes, with one co-write with Chris Robeson.

Jules taylor

The Siren and the Wordsmith

A South Texas songwriter shaped by hard-won clarity, Taylor brings the precision of a craftsman and the soul of a witness. There’s nothing ornamental in his writing, only the
weight of what’s real, delivered with the stripped-down honesty of someone who’s lost more than he lets on.
